The Verizon IndyCar Series comes roaring back to St Louis for the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 on the fourth Friday and Saturday in August. Friday features the Coors Light Pole Night with practice and qualifying for Saturday's main event. Following the IndyCar action, the stars of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series will battle under the lights for 150 laps of full-bodied stock car action.
The Bommarito Automotive Group 500 was first held as a CART series race from 1997 to 2000 and was later as an Indy Racing League event in later years. After a hiatus, the race returned in 2017 as part of the Verizon IndyCar Series. This year will mark its second year. Last year’s winner was Josef Newgarden from Team Penske with an average speed of 135 mph and recording 300 miles.
The 2018 Series will be bigger and better with more entertainment for the fans and INDYCAR connoisseurs. Be sure to check out the race if you cannot attend in person on NBCSN, Sirius Radio 214, 209, and 970, or Sportsnet 360. You wouldn’t want to miss this exciting event!
Anyone purchasing INDYCAR tickets before August 11, 2018, will receive special advance pricing, a free Coors Light Pole Night ticket, and will be registered for prize drawings.
