The cool air has finally hit us here in ILLINOISouth. Stay warm this season with a cup of Joe (or a specialty beverage) at one of these great local coffee houses.
This coffee shop serves up bakery items as well as coffee, espresso, and non-coffee items. Their Turtle Mocha Latte and a Carmel Apple Cider are sure to warm you up this winter. Guests can also heat things up with a cup of soup or a sandwich along with a peanut butter truffle brownie or a baked donut. Are you especially impressed with their menu? Take some items on the road to go!
Foundry Cafe is open every day but Sunday and is a great place to grab a drink as you shop or pass through historic Lebanon. The market features handmade crafts, Bodum coffee and tea accessories, and unique food and home items. We recommend getting a Black Eye which is a regular coffee with 2 shots of espresso added. They also have an "All You Can Drink" cup for under $3.
The motto at this coffeehouse is "Death Before Decaf". Try something off their seasonal menu or stick with a classic like an iced latte or cold brew. Don't forget to try their Marcoot Grown-Up Grilled Cheese with cheeses from local Marcoot Jersey Creamery. The Roasted Poblano and White Cheddar soup also looks delish!
Enjoy live music and a hot cup of joe at Ugly Mugs. If you get hungry they also have daily lunch specials. Make sure to grab a cup of Spiced Apple Chai before it is gone!
This industrial style coffee shop showcases Centralia's rich railroad history. They serve up special coffees, cupcakes, breakfast sandwiches, and lunch selections. They also have a selection of craft beer and wines. Try one of their flatbreads like the Jalapeno Popper or the Chicken Pesto on sourdough. Also, grab a Hot Cocoa Cupcake for dessert!
