“Remembering Rex’s Corner” by John Pottoff
Do you remember when Rex's Confectionary was a special "hangout" for all ages and purposes, such as, discussing local and national politics, debating referees' calls after local basketball games, enjoying Rex's famous chili or ice cream sundaes after sledding down Rex's Hill. While good food and drinks, a juke box, and pinball machines drew a crowd, Otis "Rex" Rexroth's personality was most likely the main reason for the popularity of the establishment for over several decades. John Pottoff, Rex's grandson, will share memories of Rex's and much more!
Join us for the program in the History Museum of Monroe County’s Allscheid-Mezger Gallery located at 724 Elaine Drive, Waterloo, IL.
