Gaetti sports academy announces signing Day

State-of-the-Art Facility Hosting Signing Days and Opening to the Public

Gaetti Sports Academy (GSA) announced today that it will begin providing individual player evaluations, coaching and training sessions starting the week of June 22nd. Leading up to the week of the 22nd, GSA will be holding its Signing Days on June 15th, 16th and 17th from 4:00pm – 8:30pm. The GSA Signing Days will consist of sign-ups for evaluations, tours of the new facility, an opportunity to learn more about the state-of-the-art baseball and softball equipment and the training that will be provided. You can also sign up online now for a private registration and facility tour starting on June 15th by visiting GSAplayball.com.

Gaetti Sports Academy at Castle Ridge is an 18,000 square foot, innovative training facility boasting a Major League size infield with 8 hitting cages and 6 pitching cages, with training and instruction provided by former major leaguers and professional coaches. GSA’s coaching roster includes, not only Gary Gaetti, but three other former Major League Baseball players with World Series experience - Dwight Bernard, Bryan Eversgerd, and Kirk Rueter, as well as Torey Crowell, Jack Harting, and other highly respected local coaches.

“GSA is the most advanced training facility, with the best professional coaching staff in the Midwest,” said Gary Gaetti. “I’m proud that we are able to open this in my hometown. We have been looking forward to opening to the public for a long time now and are excited that it’s finally happening,” he added.

Gary Gaetti is a former Major League Baseball player who grew up in Centralia. Gaetti had a storied career that included: a World Series ring with the Minnesota Twins, 4 Gold Glove awards, an ALCS MVP award, 2-time American League All-Star, and a Silver Slugger award. Gaetti’s more than 20-year career included stints with the Minnesota Twins, California Angels, Kansas City Royals, St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox.

GSA will integrate the best coaching technology available. For example, HitTrax offers an advanced, one of a kind experience and provides real-time stats and key performance metrics, along with powerful video analysis, trend reports and more. Additionally, GSA will use technology to provide virtual training sessions and record player performance over time with the ability for parents to capture and upload in-game video for GSA coach analysis and feedback. This combination of professional coaching with the use of technology will provide players with measurement of their progress and a stronger connection to the instruction.

“We are very excited to have the Gaetti Sports Academy here in Centralia as a part of the Castle Ridge development” said Mayor Herb Williams. “We are happy to see it open and hosting baseball and softball players, drawing people from around the region as well as having a positive impact on our community.”

Castle Ridge is a multi-phase development on 60 acres which includes GSA, multiple distinctive outdoor wedding venues, cottages and lodges, and a 32,000 square foot castle offering three dynamic dining experiences including a rooftop restaurant, and a conference and event center that can host up to 2500 guests indoors and more than 15,000 outdoors.
