Main Street Music
Main Street Music isn’t just a music shop. They also carry a large selection of Anime, Japanese Candy, Dungeons and Dragons, Toys, Paperback books, and Comics. The music selection includes 45 RPM singles, LP’s, CD’s, amd sheet music.
There are several courses in Waterloo for visitors to choose from. Golf Digest has named Annbriar one of America’s Top 500 “Places to Play” and gave it a 4½-star rating. Acorns Golf Links offers a par of 72, beautiful scenery, and a challenging design. Mystic Oak Golf Club is great for all levels of golfers. There are multiple water hazards, carefully placed bunkers, and excellent facilities including a Pro Shop and Black Swan restaurant. The last course in Waterloo is the Waterloo Country Club. This 9-hole course featured irrigated fairways, zoysia grass, and a par 34 for men and 36 for women.
History Museum of Monroe County
This museum offers visitors to experience history through permanent and changing exhibits. There are collections representing the settlement of the west, the settlement of Southern Illinois, and how transportation affected the area.
Monroe Actors Stage Company
Catch a performance at this community theater year round. The theater is known on a national level because of its recognition by the New York Times for its production of “The Flood,” a musical based on the local residents surviving the 1993 flood and rebuilding the town.
