The 1820 Colonel Benjamin Stephenson House
This two-story Federal home is the oldest brick building in Madison County. Col. Stephenson, who was a contemporary of the first territorial governor Ninian Edwards, completed the home in 1821. Thursday – Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.; Sunday Noon – 4:00p.m.
Exhibits and activities are geared toward children 18 months to age 10. Toddlers enjoy soft play areas, preschoolers and children in the elementary grades love Star City, a kid-sized community with a market, cafe, hospital, post office, bank, fire and police departments, as well as the Science room with hands-on science based activities.
