Plainview Vineyard & Winer -- Heartland Rivers Wine Trail
The wines are named from the grapes grown in their vineyard, such as Leon Millot, Concord and Vignole. The plum wine is produced from fruit grown in Macoupin County. The focus is on producing bold red wines and smooth white wines. They want your next meal to be enhanced by wines that excite your senses of taste and smell.
Students receive personalized skydiving instructions in a small airport setting. Groups and individual students are welcome for tandem and static line training every weekend.
The museum features a rather unique display. Bill Hanna, “The Humane Hangman,” is showcased with the tools of his trade from an era when criminal sentences were carried out on the gallows. Open by appointment and for special events.
You’ll love the picturesque setting: the wine garden; deer running across the field; wild turkeys making their way into the woods, and lots of rabbits. Campgrounds and cabins are available for anyone who wants a real getaway.
