Two thousand original drawings, paintings and woodcuts by Roscoe Misselhorn, the Norman Rockwell of the Midwest, are displayed in the old GM&O depot. Much of the work is in black and white and depicts historic sites throughout the area.
More than 5,000 artifacts were moved from Vandalia, OH to a new building at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex. The collection chronicles the shooting careers and accomplishments of the greatest trap shooters in the history of the sport from the 19th century to the present. Open during all scheduled events or by appointment.
At the largest American shooting facility in the country are 120 trap fields along a 3.5 mile shooting line. There are 24 skeet fields, archery, single action cowboy shooting, 1,000 campsites, fishing lakes, an events center, vendor mall and picnic shelters.
Large event building can be used for weddings, banquets or sports events. Smaller break-out rooms are available for meetings, bride’s rooms, etc.
Fifty to sixty trucks carrying ATVs pull in every weekend to ride through the ten miles of trails, or race go-karts on the track.
